Note: Similar costs are expected for year 2 and less for year 3. Field costs include all lodging, food, and transport at field sites. Miami waives all tuition for summer Earth Expeditions field courses required for GFP, and discounts web-based tuition.
Miami waives all tuition for Summer Field Earth Expeditions courses required for GFP. It also provides approximately an equivalent to 75% tuition discount for web-based course cost. Under the current financial model, candidates who enroll this year will save more than $12,000 (in-state)/$24,000 (out-of-state) in tuition for the degree.
With tuition waived or reduced as part of Miami University's support for this program, each GFP course is offered at a fraction of actual costs. Applicants to the program should check with their school district or employer to see if professional development funds are available to further offset costs.
